Book Rate Shipping is the default shipping method that we use at St. Francis Bookshop. It is the most economical, but it is also the slowest method we offer. A good rule of thumb is to expect approximately 7 to 10 business days (not including Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays) for your package to arrive. We are located in Cincinnati, Ohio, so orders placed from either coast will probably take the maximum time to arrive. We strongly recommend against choosing Book Rate Shipping if you are ordering over $50.00 of merchandise and especially if it is important that your package arrive quickly.

First Class Mail is a bit more expensive, but it is much faster than Book Rate Shipping. It does move through the Postal Service on Saturdays, and, depending on your location, should arrive within 5 to 7 days (not including Sundays or holidays). We strongly recommend against using First Class Mail if you are ordering over $50.00 of merchandise.

UPS Ground Shipping is the preferred shipping method of St. Francis Bookshop. It is the most expensive rate we offer, but we believe it is well worth it due to the simple facts that (a) your package is guaranteed to arrive undamaged and (b) the shipment can be tracked between our shop and your location. Depending on your location, UPS Ground Shipping will arrive in 1 to 4 days (not including Saturdays or Sundays) from the time it leaves our shop. We strongly recommend using UPS Ground Shipping for all orders, but especially for any orders totaling over $50.00 of merchandise.

If you need to request special shipping rates, such as Overnight, Second Day Air, Priority Mail or Express Mail, we can usually honor your wishes. To request these methods of shipping, either send us an email or give us a call at 1-800-241-6392 immediately after placing your online order. We will let you know if it is possible to revise the shipping speed of your order, and also inform you of what the revised shipping cost will be.

We offer Canadian and International Shipping through a carrier called American International Mailing. Packages under one pound are shipped by a Priority rate and packages over one pound are shipped by an Economy rate. Our website is not sophisticated enough to accurately calculate the shipping rate for Canadian or International shipments, so we must manually revise the shipping rates at our shop upon receiving the order. IMPORTANT: Your shipping cost will not be the Domestic Shipping Rates calculated by our website at the time of purchase. They will be higher. Most Canadian and International orders for one or two books usually total around $7.00 to $10.00 for shipping and will usually arrive within one to three weeks after leaving our shop, but this is merely an estimate and the cost may be higher and shipment time may be slower. Also, we must point out that, although generally very reliable, these methods of shipping are not guaranteed and are not trackable. We do offer a Courier service through American International Mailing which is guaranteed and is trackable (and can be set up to require a signature when delivered). This method is considerably more expensive, however, but if this is the method you desire, please send us an email or call us at 800-241-6392 immediately upon placing your order and we will give you an accurate price quote for International Courier Service.

IMPORTANT: By placing a Canadian or International order through our website, you are agreeing to accept the policies explained in the previous paragraph. Your shipping charge will be adjusted from the Domestic U.S. rate estimated at the time of purchase to the Canadian or Interational rate quoted to us by American International Mailing.
